Grzegorz Zajączkowski's career is distinguished by his impactful role as the Digital Champion for Poland, a prestigious position awarded by the European Commission. Since 2017, he has been at the forefront of Poland's digital transformation, spearheading initiatives to empower Europeans with digital technologies. His work involves initiating and coordinating innovative projects spanning digital education, inclusion, accessibility and e-government, with a strong focus on promoting digital skills and entrepreneurship, particularly among younger generations. Cooperating closely with governmental and non-governmental bodies, Grzegorz is instrumental in shaping and implementing Poland's digitalisation strategies, with a significant emphasis on cybersecurity, data management and the deployment of Artificial Intelligence.
Currently serving as the EU CodeWeek Ambassador for Poland, Grzegorz is the primary national point of contact for this key European digital literacy initiative. He actively champions coding and digital skills across Polish communities, fostering cooperation and promoting widespread participation in the EU CodeWeek.
Grzegorz's governmental service includes his role as Advisor to the Minister at the Ministry of Digital Affairs, where he provided strategic counsel on crucial national digitisation projects. He was deeply involved in landmark initiatives like gov.pl, mObywatel, and Profil Zaufany, significantly contributing to their development.
Furthermore, his expertise was vital to the widok.gov.pl project, leveraging Big Data to analyse the usability of government systems and the innovative Kronik@ project, an AI-powered semantic repository of Polish cultural and scientific heritage.
Since 2018, Grzegorz has been applying his data and AI expertise as a Data Researcher and Advisor at Telewizja Polska S.A. (TVP), focusing on leveraging these technologies within the dynamic media sector to enhance content and audience engagement.
Notably, since 2024, he also cooperates with the European Broadcast Union as an AI and Data expert, contributing to key European journalistic projects.
His experience also extends to the state enterprise "Polish Airports" (PPL), where he served in key expert roles within Information Technology. While at PPL, Grzegorz held positions such as Chief Specialist in IT Security, Chief Specialist in Compliance and Chief Specialist for Data Management, showcasing his broad expertise across these critical domains. It was within this multifaceted role at PPL that he also functioned as an AI Expert, pioneering an AI project to enhance passenger security screening and championing innovative cloud-based AI projects within the organisation.
Previously, as an Information Technology Expert at the Chancellery of the Prime Minister, Grzegorz was a key technical expert for the Integrated Analytical Platform (ZPA) project. This strategic initiative aimed to significantly improve governmental efficiency through advanced data analytics and informed decision-making.
Earlier in his career, Grzegorz served as Chief Engineer for the "Open School" project at the Center for the Development of Polish Education Abroad. In this role, he led the technical development of a virtual school platform and was the lead author of the influential online handbook wlaczpolske.pl, which became a model for numerous central educational systems within the Ministry of National Education.
Further demonstrating his data management skills, Grzegorz worked as a Data Manager for the OECD PISA Study, contributing to the integrity and security of data within this globally recognised research program.
Since 2008, Grzegorz has consistently served as a sought-after advisor and project coordinator, cooperating with various government institutions including the Ministries of Education and Foreign Affairs. His work focuses on advancing the information society and e-education through innovative digital solutions and robust cybersecurity practices.
His commitment to national development is evident in his long-term involvement in strategic planning, including co-authoring the foundational "ePolska 2001" strategy. He also co-authored numerous Regional Development Strategies, ensuring the integration of digitalisation, cybersecurity and data-driven decision-making principles.
Grzegorz's dedication to digital education extends to his cooperation with the "Education for Democracy" Foundation on the e-Globalna.edu.pl project, enhancing educational platforms for students.
Grzegorz's passion for technology began early. From 1992-1994, he was immersed in the DEMOSCENE Amiga UNESCO, a vibrant and creative programming community recognised for its cultural significance. This experience deeply shaped his early programming skills and ignited his enduring passion for technology. Building on this foundation, in 2000, while still a student, he demonstrated his web development expertise by creating pioneering websites for the UN system in Poland, including UNESCO, showcasing his early commitment to international collaboration and digital innovation.
Grzegorz holds the European Engineer in Automation and Robotics degree from the Silesian University of Technology, a testament to his strong engineering foundation. Adding a touch of academic self-deprecation, Grzegorz jokingly notes that his ongoing "educational pursuit" is ironically focused on the very disciplines he is already privileged to teach - a testament to his deep and enduring engagement with his fields.
As a Lecturer of the author's course "Art Popularisation in the Network" at Jagiellonian University, he lectured at the Institute of Art History UJ and the Academy of Heritage in Cracow. He is the author of the unique course "Art Popularization in New Media" at UJ, which he further developed into the specialized program "AI in Heritage Promotion" at the Academy of Heritage of the International Cultural Centre (MCK).
Furthermore, he conducted lectures on AI at Kolegium da Vinci and the University of Cambridge.
He possesses over 23 years of lecturing experience across PJATK, Silesian University of Technology and BWSIiZ. Notably, Grzegorz began teaching at PJATK in his 3rd year of studies, which demonstrates his early expertise and dedication to knowledge sharing.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Grzegorz is deeply passionate about exploring Baroque painting, particularly its Silesian and European expressions. He is also engaged in the ongoing renovation of a 19th-century house, blending historical preservation with modern restoration techniques. Furthermore, Grzegorz voluntarily supports numerous Polish music bands and publishers with their online marketing strategies, demonstrating his commitment to promoting Polish culture and the arts in the digital sphere.

Jakub is an IT expert with many years of experience in the consulting industry, gained in large national and international corporations. He has held roles as an IT manager, IT architect, IT analyst and IT solutions manager.
Jakub has extensive experience in managing IT teams and overseeing IT service portfolios. He is skilled in project management and has developed IT strategies for various organisations. Jakub’s expertise includes analysing and presenting both business and technical requirements, as well as leading analytical workshops. He is proficient in establishing and maintaining partnerships with IT industry partners and cooperating with government agencies. Furthermore, Jakub has a strong background in project estimation, system design and implementation. He supervises the testing process, leads training sessions for key and end users and creates reference project materials. Jakub also co-develops commercial offers for IT system implementations and works closely with company management at the Board (CxOs) and Supervisory Board levels.
Jakub achieved the highest rating among managers in the employee satisfaction survey at PPL. He successfully implemented an ERP system at PPL and managed the procurement (through a public procurement tender process) and implementation of EDS systems at PPL. He developed and implemented an IT strategy for the PPL Capital Group, which contributed to significant improvements in the company’s IT operations. Through the modernisation of the airport's IT infrastructure, he reduced the number of IT system failures at PPL. Jakub maintained and expanded the IT team while achieving a low employee turnover rat, and he increased the number of IT services provided without any change in staffing levels. Jakub also successfully defended three airports against cyberattacks. Furthermore, he was responsible for developing the IT and security systems for the Radom airport. Jakub oversaw the implementation of a Contact Center at Leroy Merlin and two CRM systems at Innogy. He also led the sales and implementation of Microsoft’s first CRM project and co-created the Microsoft Dynamics Sure Step implementation methodology.
Jakub is the Head of the IT Division at the V4+ Airports Association, where he coordinates the work of an international airport IT team. Jakub fosters cooperation between various airport IT departments to enhance operational efficiency and drive innovation within the industry.
He managed a team of 130 professionals within the IT and Security Systems Office at the Polish Airports State Enterprise (PPL), overseeing operations at airports in Warsaw, Radom and Zielona Góra. Jakub was responsible for developing, implementing and continuously updating the IT development strategy to support the overall business strategy of the PPL Capital Group. As part of his role, he supervised the design and development of proprietary IT systems while also managing the implementation of external IT and telecommunications solutions. Jakub ensured the effective modernisation of existing IT and telecommunications systems, which included planning the budget, defending it before the Management Board and Supervisory Board, and overseeing its execution. Jakub was responsible for providing the necessary IT infrastructure to support employees across the Capital Group. This included managing computer hardware, peripheral devices and telecommunications equipment to ensure the smooth execution of daily operations. Furthermore, he oversaw the maintenance of IT infrastructure systems used across the organisation, ensuring the efficient handling of user service requests related to IT operations. Jakub managed access to the IT network and telecommunications services in accordance with the needs of the organisation. Furthermore, he ensured compliance with industry standards for computer and telecommunications hardware, IT technologies and software. He also worked to optimise the efficiency of IT resources across various departments within the organisation. In his role, Jakub was also responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of security control systems for passengers and baggage, as well as technical security systems, including electronic surveillance and alarm systems. He managed the development and support of these security systems to enhance airport safety and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Moreover, Jakub cooperated with the IT team of the Central Communication Port (CPK) to plan and develop IT systems for the future infrastructure of CPK.
He also worked closely with external security and law enforcement agencies, including the Police, Border Guard, Customs and Tax Office, Special Services, Polish Air Navigation Services Agency (PAŻP) and the Civil Aviation Authority (ULC). Jakub’s role involved coordinating IT services and implementing security measures to ensure the highest level of safety and operational continuity at airports.
Jakub was the IT Solutions Manager at Leroy Merlin, where he managed the implementation and maintenance of IT systems, including Microsoft Dynamics CRM, Genesys Contact Center, a pricing management application and loyalty program software. He cooperated with the international Adeo Group on IT system implementations, working with teams of 20–30 professionals from Poland, France, Spain and Italy.
Jakub was the IT Solutions Manager at ACO Nordic A/S, where he managed an international project across eight countries (Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland) and led a multinational team of 25 professionals responsible for IT system implementations. The project covered all phases, including analysis, design, development and testing. He coordinated IT teams involved in the implementation of a CRM system across Germany, Denmark, India and the USA. Furthermore, he conducted analytical workshops with senior management, key users, end users and external IT firms. Jakub also managed IT service providers, overseeing negotiations, contract signings and ongoing cooperation throughout the implementation process.
Jakub managed IT projects involving Microsoft Dynamics and SAP as the IT Solutions Manager at innogy (E.ON), overseeing teams of 30-80 professionals and ensuring the successful execution of all project phases, including analysis, design, development, testing, training, implementation and post-go-live support. He led an internal team of consultants and managed external service providers delivering project-related services. Furthermore, Jakub oversaw the IT solutions portfolio for the B2B and B2C segments of innogy Polska, which included system maintenance, contract management and software licensing. He conducted in-depth analyses within IT projects and designed the architecture for the Dynamics CRM system, ensuring seamless integration with the existing IT environment.
As the IT Project Manager at Orange, Jakub managed IT projects, overseeing their planning, execution and implementation. Jakub designed and implemented CRM systems for the construction industry, acting as an IT Consultant at Sygnity S.A. + Infovide-Matrix S.A. He also led CRM system implementations for financial institutions, taking on the roles of analyst and tester. Jakub conducted training sessions for key and end users at major telecommunications companies, enabling them to independently operate the deployed CRM systems. Furthermore, he independently managed pre-sales activities, including presenting customised demo versions of CRM systems and preparing commercial offers for major industry clients. Jakub cooperated with sales teams in the creation of sales proposals by preparing detailed business and technical descriptions of proposed IT solutions.
Jakub designed and implemented IT systems for financial institutions, energy companies, telecommunications firms and local governments, serving as both an IT Architect and Analyst at Microsoft. He conducted analytical work and led consulting teams during large IT projects, overseeing the preparation and acceptance of selected IT deliverables by clients, including functional and technical analysis documents. Jakub created training environments and materials, conducting training sessions for end-users. He managed pre-sales and implementation projects. Jakub ensured the successful adoption of IT systems by key and end-users, providing essential knowledge through self-prepared training sessions and environments (working with approximately 20 teams ranging from 5 to 20 people) and developing training materials. He maintained a high standard of project execution, initiating collaboration with selected partners and overseeing their actions in pre-sales and IT system implementation areas. Jakub ensured project profitability by preparing estimates for time and labor intensity, with an average implementation period of 2 years and budgets up to 20 million PLN. He enabled clients to make final decisions on project implementation by developing key documents such as architecture visions, gap analyses, concept verification and project justification during workshops with business and technical departments from various industries. Jakub participated in sales forecasting with IT sales departments and supported sales teams in achieving targets by proposing solutions and identifying potential for purchases. He also developed official materials for the Microsoft Dynamics Sure Step project management methodology.
